Starting over ... again

Ok. Here we go again! I finally decided to upgrade all my stuff -- wasn't that much really, but still -- to Drupal v6. So many changes. So much stuff. So much cool stuff to play with ... but so little time.

I've wanted to this for quite a while now, but the realities of a "day job" kept me from diving into this. Then I had to switch host provider. And then, of course, the embarrassment of having "old" Drupal modules out there on Drupal.org was just too much. Something had to be done!

Now, upgrading from Drupal v5 to v6 is actually a bit more pain than I thought. I had customized a lot on my site, and Drupal changed quite a bit -- for the better, of course. But this meant that there are a million little things to look out for, change, tweak, fiddle with, swear over, and be perplexed about. In other words: all the fun stuff that happens when one is building a site.

One thing about this effort is that it also forces one to clean out some old junk. So I guess it will take a few more days before this site is back to where it's supposed to be. And today is only Day #1

Now ... need more coffee ... and let's get back to work!
